Many sites across the web have reported that yesterday Disney's new animated feature "Tangled" has finally edged Warner Brothers power house Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

The Deadline Hollywood Blog gives us some pretty exact numbers along with estimates for the rest of the weekend. In its third Friday Deathly Hallows $4.8 million in the U.S. bringing its total gross to about $243 million. But in its second week Tangled has finally taken the top spot. Yesterday the film brought in $5.1 million in the States. Although the animated feature didn't beat out Potter by much, and Deadline estimates that Deathly Hallows will beat it out in the total week end box office ($16.7 million to $16.5 million), this may be a sign of things to come.

Tangled has gained some new fans over the past week, reports GetThePicture.net. The film has gained about 160,000 news fans since the release. This in addition to anyone that wanted to see the new Potter film already seeing it (and with repeat offenders keeping the number strong) will be enough to give Tangled the top spot at the end of the weekend. GetThePicture estimates a healthy win for the animated film. They give Tangled a $28 to $21 million score.
