No 3D Not Hurting Deathly Hallows Part 1

On October 8th The Remembrall reported that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 would not be shown in 3D. Among many reason, there was simply not enough time to put together a quality 3D version of the film. There was talk over if this would hurt Warner Brothers in the box office or not. According to Variety this does not seem to be the case.

With 4,125 showings yesterday (Friday, November, 26th), Potter brought in about $23 million at the box office. This keeps Deathly Hallows at its number one spot. The second and third place movies are both movies in 3D (mind you they are both animated 3D movie, but 3D none the less). 'Tangled', which takes second place brought in $19.7 million yesterday. Megamind, with $6.3 million came in third place.

Deathly Hallows has been atop the box office since its release. Even though the two other movies below Potter are in 3D they have had no affect on the latest Potter film. With plans to release Part 2 of  Deathly Hallows in 3D, one would assume that the film will do even better than part one. As Part 1 continues to earn more, and more money keep checking back to The Remembrall for more information on its box office success.
