Half-Blood Prince Long-Listed for Seven BAFTA Awards

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been long-listed for seven 2010 British Academy Film Awards. The film has been entered in categories of Best: Make Up & Hair, Special Visual Effects, Sound, Costume Design, Production Design, Cinematography and Supporting Actor for Alan Rickman as Severus Snape.

The long-list is the preliminary stage to the actual nominations which will be announced on January 21st. Voting in Round Two will result in the top 15 in each catergory being reduced to 5 films. The third and final round shall determine the winners. 

The awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Opera House on February 21st.
