Emma Thompson to help remake "My Fair Lady"

Playbill.com is reporting that Emma Thompson (who portrays Professor Trelawney in the Harry Potter films) is going to be one of the leading writers of the classic film remake "My Fair Lady". This film will be based on the musical of the same name written by Alan Jay Lerner-Fredrick Lowe, which was originally the play Pygmalion written by George Bernard Shaw.

This is not Emma Thompson's first screenplay. Some of the films she help write are "Nannie McPhee"and the television version of "Wit". She also won an oscar for her screenplay of "Sense and Sensibility".
